Consultation has concluded
Thank you to everybody who participated in West Lancashire Borough Council's consultation on the proposed implementation of a Car Cruising Proposed Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in Pimbo.
The consultation is now closed and feedback will be taken into consideration alongside the evidence provided by Lancashire Constabulary to support the application for a PSPO in order to provide Police Officers with the power to act quickly and stop these anti-social gatherings of car cruisers and racers who are causing, or likely to cause, nuisance, alarm or distress to local residents and businesses.

The proposed PSPO is designed to tackle car cruising in public places (as defined by the Act) and in this instance, throughout Pimbo Industrial Estate (the restricted area). The Public Spaces Protection Order will prohibit car cruising and we will aim for it to come into force during early 2022. The order will last for a period of 3 years.
We hereby invite representations on our proposals to introduce the PSPO. Once you have reviewed the information provided, please complete the survey attached.
