Draft Gambling Policy 2025 - 2028

West Lancashire Borough Council welcomes the views of residents, its statutory consultees and indeed anyone who has an interest in licensing and the promotion of the licensing objectives in the Borough.  

The Act sets out licensing objectives that underpin the legislation and must be taken into consideration by the Council, and by people who provide gambling  facilities.

The objectives are:

• Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being  associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime; 
• Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way; 
• Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or  exploited by gambling.

This survey will enable us to understand if the policy meets the objectives.
