Welcome to our 2024-2025 Commuting and Working from Home survey.
Last year we invited you to participate in our 2023-2024 Commuting and Working from Home survey. This was the first time this data was included in the Council's 'Greenhouse Gas Footprint'. The data provided us with a more accurate and bigger picture of the footprint of our organisation.
Did you know? Emissions from transportation make up around 17% of all global greenhouse gas emissions, and commuting to work is a major contributor to this figure. While individual commutes may seem insignificant, when multiplied by the number of employees within an organisation, it can result in a substantial amount of CO2e.
We are now inviting all officers to take part in our 2024-2025 survey! By capturing this year's data, we will have a more accurate greenhouse gas footprint and draw comparisons to the data collected in 2023-2024.
In addition, in preparation and delivery of the Accomodation Strategy, the data will support in an overview of corporate building use and working patterns.
Please spare 5 minutes of your time, to complete our survey.
Kind regards
Environmental Sustainability team
