Consultation has concluded
West Lancashire Borough Council's, Statement of Sex Establishment Licensing Policy is currently being reviewed.
Whilst it is lawful to operate a sex establishment as legitimate sections of the retail and leisure industries, it is appropriate that the Council sets out its objectives and the means by which application processes can address potential concerns about such operations. The Council does this through the operation of a Sex Establishment Licensing Policy.
The document is reviewed every 5 years to ensure the content remains relevant. The Council is currently reviewing the content of the Policy, but is not proposing to make any significant changes from the previous version of the document.
We are inviting residents to participate in the review, we want to hear your views about the draft policy, and therefore we are conducting a 12 week public consultation, to let you have your say.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, which will help us to decide the final content of the policy.
