Refuse and Recycling Bin Collection Calendar Review

Earlier in the year we consulted with our residents about our refuse and recycling bin collection calendars. We were seeking feedback from our residents to ensure the calendars are clear, understandable, and easy to access.  

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Refuse and Recycling Bin Collection Calendar consultation. Your feedback was analysed, and we are pleased that overall, it was very positive with the majority of respondents finding the calendar easy to understand and knowing how to access the calendar.

Following your suggestions, we have implemented changes to the colour scheme of the 2022-2023 calendars to make the collection dates easier to understand. We will also update residents of where to find their collections dates and download a copy of their calendar, via regular social media posts to increase residents' awareness. The new 2022-2023 bin collection calendars have now been uploaded to the website and can be accessed by typing your postcode, street or house name into the 'Your West Lancashire' panel on the right-hand side of our Refuse and Recycling page here: https://www.westlancs.gov.uk/refuse-recycling.aspx
