Consultation has concluded
This consultation is now closed. Thank you for your feedback. The service lead, Rebecca Spicer, will now process all the feedback gathered and make changes to the strategy where possible.
Damp and mould cause serious concern because of their health and wellbeing impacts. Our Strategy and Action Plan sets out how the Council is tackling the root causes of damp and mould in Council homes and the plans that we have in place to improve the service offered to tenants who encounter damp and mould.
This Strategy defines both how we will strengthen our rapid response to reports of damp and mould, and the proactive, and long-term actions that we will take to prevent its appearance and recurrence. In this way, our Strategy will contribute to our priority of providing, safe, quality, and affordable homes as a social landlord.
We welcome tenants to provide their views on our Damp and Mould Strategy and Action Plan for Council Housing 2025-2028. We will use your views to shape the strategy before its taken to Landlord Services and our Policy and Resources Committee for sign off. Please take some time to read the Damp and Mould Strategy and Action Plan and then complete the survey below to provide your feedback.
In addition to this online survey, we are offering tenants and leaseholders the opportunity to attend an in person consultation session which will be lead by service lead, Rebecca Spicer. The session will take place on 7th October. If you would like to attend, or would like more information, contact the Tenant Voice team via an email to TenantVoice@westlancs.gov.uk
