Home adaptations for disabled people improve health and wellbeing and contribute to achieving a range of outcomes set out in the Public Health, NHS and Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework.
Many people find that their personal circumstances change and they can no longer live comfortably or safely within their existing arrangements. West Lancs Borough Council aims to positively address the aspirations of disabled people, allowing them to remain in their current home for as long as possible.
We welcome tenants to provide their view on our Adaptations Policy for Council Housing. We will use your views to shape the policy before it's taken to Landlord Services and our Policy and Resources Committee for sign off. Please take some time to read the Aids and Adaptations Policy and then complete the survey below to provide your feedback.
In addition to this online survey, we are offering tenants and leaseholders the opportunity to attend an in person consultation session which will be lead by service manager, Debbie Stewart. The session will take place on 14th November at our Derby Street (Ormskirk) office. If you would like to attend, or would like more information, contact the Tenant Voice team via an email to TenantVoice@westlancs.gov.uk
