Consultation has concluded

The Regulator of Social Housing is currently consulting on the revised regulatory consumer standards.

There are four draft consumer standards which set out the specific expectations and outcomes that all registered providers (landlords) will be expected to achieve to ensure tenants live in safe, quality homes, are involved in the services they receive and can hold landlords to account.

The Regulator of Social Housing is expecting to replace the existing consumer standards with the final revised set of standards from April 2024:

  • The Safety and Quality Standard
  • The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard
  • The Neighbourhood and Community Standard
  • The Tenancy Standard.

The Regulator of Social Housing is inviting landlords, tenants and anyone interested in Social Housing to give their views on the revised consumer standards.

Following the consultation, The Regulator of Social Housing will consider the responses received and then set out their decision on the final form of the consumer standards.
