I completed the previous survey and want to understand why some suggestions haven't been included within the refurbishment?
The funding is focused on upgrading and refurbishing key areas of the building including essential works such as roof repair and replacement, and enhancing customer experience (i.e. gym, spin studio, wellbeing suite, entrance, changing and toilets).
Why has a swimming pool not been included within the design?
The allocated budget is aligned with our strategic objective and local need. Local need is being meet by the current local offering of Swimming pools within West Lancashire, this has been detailed within Appendix 2 of the Water deprivation Report conducted by Swim England.
When will the refurbishment conclude?
The refurbishment is scheduled to take approximately 29 weeks, commencing Summer 2024 with completion expected by early 2025.
How can I keep up with project information?
The microsite will be regularly updated throughout the course of the refurishment as will our WELL Burscough Sports facebook page, so please check both out.
Will my membership price increase?
There will be a period were current members and non-members can lock in, by purchasing an annual membership or Direct debit membership that is in line with current prices. Following the great pre-sale opportunity, the prices will slightly increase to reflect the quality and services of the refurbished Burscough Sports
Why am I being asked to comment on the colour of the sports hall walls?
The colour of the sports hall is very important to some users groups, therefore we felt it important to ask which approved National Governing Body colour you prefer.
What is a virtual class?
Virtual classes are delivered using technology and displayed on a large screen without an instructor in the room. Virtual classes are great if you want to trial a class before entering into a live class or if you prefer the around the clock accessibility.
What is a live class?
A live class is a session delieverd by one of our instrcutors. Who will lead and coach you through the moves providing minute by minute motivation to achieve your goal!
What works are taking place in the car park?
Various works will be taking place in the car park including trimming back trees and bushes, repair of potholes, relining and jetting of drains.
When will I hear the results of this survey?
The survey will close on 29th July 2024, Officers will then review the themes within responses and analyse the data which will be used to influence operational improvements. We will aim to update all responders by Autumn 2024
