Consultation has concluded
West Lancashire Borough Council has an ambitious strategy to improve its Leisure Facilities across the borough. Our plans involve the development of two new Wellbeing and Leisure Hubs in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk to replace the existing facilities at Nye Bevan Pool, Skelmersdale and Park Pool, Ormskirk, along with investment in Burscough Racquet and Fitness Centre to ensure the future sustainability of this busy and popular community facility.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Burscough Racquet and Fitness Centre survey, your feedback is now being analysed and will help us to plan improvements and future investment plans. Watch out for further updates coming soon.

The Council approved an ambitious plan to develop it's leisure facilities, including investment into Burscough Racquet & Fitness Centre, to make the facility sustainable for the future
2020
Burscough Racquet & Fitness Centre has finished this stage
In March 2020, plans were put on hold due to resources being focused on the Council's response to the Covid-19 pandemic
2021
Burscough Racquet & Fitness Centre has finished this stage
In December 2021, the Council approves and relaunches the Leisure Facilities Strategy
2022 - January to February

Consultation underway, inviting residents to tell us what improvements and investment they would like to see made at the centre
